Here I am keeping that signal juiced all over Western PA!!!!!!

My Name is Jared Panek, also known as Kid DooWop. I am 21 years old and I am from McKeesport, Pennsylvania which is near Pittsburgh. I graduated from McKeesport High School in 2003.

I've been listening to oldies all my life but really started collecting when I was 14. My first 45 I bought believe it or not was "Mr.Sandman" by the "Chordettes". I heard it in a movie & that was before I realized how much great music there was out there.I love all types of music but espically love those sounds from the 50's and 60's. I love playing doo-wop, r&b, soul, and love to specialize in those Pittsburgh sounds. While lots of kids my age were growing up listening to the new hit music, I was listening to some of it but was also listening to the doo-wop & Pittsburgh sounds. There were alot of times I would be listening to a Porky sound or something from that era & alot of my friends would ask me"where did you find that" & actually liked alot of the old sounds.

I like to keep alive alot of the sounds that some of my favorite dj's played like Porky Chedwick(with his unique sounds), Mad Mike, Charlie Apple, Bob Livorio, & one of my favorites Terry Lee.

I also started my own NiteTrain Radio show when I was 17, on Friday nights from 12-6AM , that lasted for about 2 years on WLSW 103.9FM.

Besides doing alot of mobile Disc Jockey work at local bars, car cruises, dances, & many other places you can find me doing various shows on www.doowopcafe.net, as well as some Sundays afternoons & other fill-ins on WLSW  "Music Power 104"  103.9 FM in Connellsville, PA.
